On Friday, a staff salary report was released that showed the difference in payroll by the Trump administration with the Obama administration. The report showed that Trump White House is spending less than the Obama White House. It was found that President Trump’s 2017 payroll is 5,1 million dollars less compared to Obama’s 2015 payroll, in a report by a government watchdog Open the Books.
According to our source Western Journalism, the watchdog organization reported that 4-year savings on President Trump’s White House payroll could exceed 22 million dollars. These savings are driven by significant reductions in policy czars like the staff for the first lady and expensive fellowship programs and also President Trump’s refusal to get a salary.
There are about 110 fewer employees on White House payroll under President Trump’s White House than the Obama White House. The former First Lady Michele Obama in 2009 had the largest staff of 24, more than any other first lady, Laura Bush had 18 staffers and Hillary Clinton 19. Well, our current First Lady Melania Trump has only 5, and their salaries range from 77,000 dollars to 179,700 dollars.
In 2009 Former President Barack Obama hired expensive “special initiative czars”. Carol Browner, Assistant to the President for Energy and Climate Change earned 172,000 dollars a year, Nancy-Ann DeParle, Director of the White House Office of Health Reform earned 158,000 dollars and White House Director of Urban Affairs, Adolfo Carrion Jr. earned 158,500 dollars a year.
There is no found evidence of any “czars” on Trump’s White House payroll. Also, Obama’s Leadership Development Fellowship program was very expensive and the two directors who were on a payroll earned 120,000 dollars and 60,876 dollars. There was also no found evidence of high-cost fellowship programs in Trump’s White House.
President Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, are working as a special adviser to the president and a senior adviser to the president they also refused to get a salary. President Trump donated his salary to the Department of Interior for use at military cemeteries.
Also, the reports show that President Trump’s median salary for his staff is higher than Obama’s, considering that there are fewer people on his staff, it is much “leaner”. In an email, Sean Spicer said that this just shows that the Trump administration “trying to give taxpayers the best return,”
